This Health and Safety Disclaimer explains important risks related to participating in Sessions Cycle classes, events, and activities. This notice supplements our Terms and Conditions, Liability Waiver and Release, Refund and Cancellation Policy, and other applicable policies.
Not Medical Advice
Sessions Cycle, its instructors, employees, contractors, and representatives do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, physical therapy, or personalized medical recommendations. Information provided on the website, through Ask Sessy, on social media, in studio communications, or during class is general fitness and wellness information only.
Consult a Medical Professional
You should consult a physician or other qualified health professional before participating if you have any medical condition, injury, recent surgery, pregnancy, postpartum condition, heart condition, high or low blood pressure, breathing condition, neurological condition, orthopedic condition, diabetes, history of fainting, dizziness, chest pain, sensitivity to lights or sound, medications that affect exercise, or any concern about your ability to participate safely.
Physical Activity Risks
Sessions Cycle classes may include indoor cycling, resistance work, rhythm riding, music, low or changing lighting, body heat in the studio, light weights, repetitive movement, and periods of intense exertion. Participation may involve risks, including fatigue, muscle soreness, dizziness, dehydration, falls, injury, aggravation of medical conditions, illness, or, in rare cases, death.
Rider Responsibility
You are responsible for evaluating your health, fitness level, experience, and ability before and during each class. You should ride at your own pace, adjust resistance and intensity as needed, hydrate, rest, ask for assistance, and stop if you experience pain, dizziness, weakness, unusual shortness of breath, nausea, confusion, chest pain, or any concerning symptom.
Studio Conditions
The studio environment may include loud music, explicit lyrics, low light, changing lights, dark spaces, variable temperature, wet or slippery surfaces, stationary bikes, cycling shoes and clips, weights, and shared facilities. If you are sensitive to sound, lighting, heat, movement, or dark spaces, please notify staff before class and consult a medical professional when appropriate.
Equipment and Instructions
Use bikes, shoes, clips, weights, lockers, showers, and all other equipment responsibly. If you are new or need support, arrive early so staff can help with bike setup and equipment use. You should follow staff instructions, but you must also listen to your body and modify or stop participation when needed.
Pregnancy, Injuries, and Special Conditions
If you are pregnant, postpartum, recovering from an injury or surgery, or managing a medical condition, you should obtain clearance from your health professional before participating. Tell staff before class if you need general setup help or modifications, but understand that staff cannot evaluate your medical condition or determine whether class is safe for you.
Emergencies
If you experience serious or sudden symptoms, stop immediately and ask for help. In an emergency, staff may contact emergency services or take reasonable action based on the situation. Sessions Cycle is not a substitute for professional medical care, emergency services, or medical monitoring.
Minors and Guests
Riders under 18 may require parent or legal guardian consent and additional forms before participating. Guests must register and complete required forms before taking class. If you bring a guest, please tell the front desk so they can complete registration.
