Ride at the pace that feels right for you. Stay seated, reduce resistance, slow your cadence, skip choreography, or take a recovery break whenever needed.
A properly adjusted bike supports comfort, stability, and better riding form. First-time riders should ask a team member to check their setup before class begins.
A common starting point is setting the saddle near hip height while standing next to the bike. The team can make the final adjustment so your knees, hips, and posture feel supported.
Handlebars should be high enough that you can reach them without rounding your back, locking your elbows, or lifting your shoulders. New riders often feel best with handlebars slightly higher.
Use the resistance control on the bike to make the ride feel heavier or lighter. Add enough resistance to feel stable, and reduce it whenever you need to recover.
Some temporary saddle discomfort is common for new riders and usually improves as your body gets used to cycling. Proper bike setup and fitted workout clothing can help.
